POR BLOGUERÍAS June 28th 2008 Brisa fresca de la bahía
“Barcas de Plata, primer trabajo de la gaditana Encarna
Anillo, huele a sal. La sal que mueve la brisa en Cádiz.
Cante clásico, sí, pero suena a fresco en boca
de esta debutante de 25 años curtida en los escenarios
como cantaora de atrás, acompañando al baile” See full

EL PAÍS May 31st 2008 Review of Jesús Torres’s 'Viento del

contenido melódico que reina en todo el disco" See

EL MUNDO May 29th 2008 Review of Encarna Anillo’s 'Barcas de plata',
by J.M.Velázquez-Gaztelu
"En el disco se refleja la riqueza estilística
de Anillo, su amplio repertorio, con diez cantes en ocasiones
diametralmente opuestos, tanto en estructura musical como
en concepto rítmico: la milonga y la bulería,
la zambra y la soleá, que no sólo demuestran
la versatilidad de esta cantaora, sino su capacidad para asimilar
el legado flamenco en sus más variadas formas" See

"On her début album, Cádiz-born cantaora
Encarna Anillo, with the luxurious accompaniment of six guitarists
(Chicuelo, Alfredo Lagos, Juan Requena, Diego del Morao, Rafael
Rodríguez and Juan Diego), delivers a sincere, worthy
record to us. The album reflects the good taste of its two

DIARIO DE SEVILLA April 16th, 2008 Review of Jesús Torres’s ‘Viento
del Norte’
“A work in which contention and intimacy have priority,
despite the epic poetry por bulerías which opens the
album, dedicated in memory of his father. This is an exquisite
record with contained guitar playing which hardly dares to
sound above the percussion or vocals. (...) Torres furiously
shows that, like everyone, his is a heart that suffers and
enjoys”. See

Flamenco-world.com is worthy of being studied by Business
and Marketing students at Harvard. It isn’t simply that
out of the 22 million results appearing when you key in ‘flamenco’
at Google, the world’s most important cyber portal dedicated
to the jondo art heads up the list; it’s that what its
founders have achieved is to generate a toll-free highway

Encarna Anillo
presents ‘Barcas de plata’ at the inauguration
of the first store of the fashion firm Flamenco.
The Cádiz-born cantaora, accompanied
by guitarist José Manuel León, performed
the alegrías which are her début album’s
title cut and the bulerías by La Perla before
hundreds attending the event, which took place at the
establishment in Madrid on April 29th, 2008. Encarna
Anillo and Flamenco
thus sealed a collaboration agreement by which the Spanish
clothing brand, present on the international market
for a decade now, will dress the artist at her live
performances.
